Office suites are vitally important to any student or tutor. A good Office suite should contain a word processor, spreadsheet, database, presentation maker and basic graphic manipulation software. The majority of this website only links to free resources, but this section of the website would not be complete without providing help and support with Microsoft Office 2007. The reasoning behind this is that the majority of colleges and schools would have already installed this Office suite on their PCs or are in the process of upgrading to it. Office 2007 is interesting because it has a revolutionary new interface that for adult learners who have little or no experience with computers the interface should be much more intuitive than previous versions of Office. Furthermore, Microsoft have a special offer to students and staff - a 91% reduction on the price of Office 2007 Ultimate. This means you can buy the Ultimate version of Office 2007 for just £38.95. If you prefer not to spend any money on an Office Suite then OpenOffice is the obvious choice, it contains all of the relevant programs and can read and write Microsoft Office files, meaning all of your work will be compatible with computers running MS Office. OpenOffice is a comprehensive suite and should be used to replace Microsoft Works that is normally bundled free with home computers. For help and support with each office suite, use the links on the left-hand side of this page. LinksBuy Office 2007 for £38.95
