Browsing the web is now part of everyday life for most people but not everyone is aware that there are security implications if your web browser is not fully up to date. They may also not be aware of the significant choice of web browser that exists. Web browsers are slightly unusual in that the vast majority of web browsers are completely free - even Microsoft's Internet Explorer is free.
Each user who has tried a selection of web browsers may have developed their own preference over time, or they may only use a web browser that they consider secure, even if it may not have all of the features that are important to them. It is important to use a web browser that is regularly updated and one that offers quick fixes if a security breach is found. Nonetheless, regardless of how secure a web browser is, it is still important to have a decent firewall and anti-virus program running at all times.
